Future Disney Employee.

I recently got accepted into the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida.  I could not be more excited for this opportunity.  It's been a journey itself trying to get accepted.  You see I applied back in February and unfortunately did not get in.  I was upset but I knew it had to be for some reason that would make sense to me later in life. So I didn't lose hope an applied once more in August.

The process of getting in is first you fill out an application that includes your work experience, schooling and what job you would want if you got in.  Then if you get pass that you have to take an online interview that ask  questions ranging from how would you handle certain situations to what kind of person you are.  And if you are fortunate to get pass that then you have to setup a phone interview which for me was the most nerve racking part.  I was so nervous the day of my phone interview but I just remembered that all I was doing is telling them why I would be perfect to work at Disney World easy enough right?

After the phone interview it becomes a waiting game.  I thought I would take a little longer to receive my acceptance letter but it didn't even take a week.  I was just casually checking my email when I saw a email from Disney saying congratulations.  Of course I started freaking out.  The letter stated what area my job be in and how much I would make and then gave me directions on how to accept my offer.

Now that I have complete all three steps that you must finish in order to fully accept your offer I now am a future Disney employee.  I leave Oklahoma in January and come back home in May.  I am looking forward to making so many cherish able moments and connections that will help me with my future!

Fun At The Fair.

I got the pleasure of going to the state fair on Tuesday night with my mom, sister and cousin.  This year's fair was a lot of fun.  It had a lot of new kinds of crazy food like the bacon wrapped donut burger or deep fried coffee.  However we didn't try any of that we just stuck with the traditional old fashion root beer and jumbo corn dogs that were good as ever.  The only problem I had with this year's fair was all the construction that is going on in the middle of the grounds.  It was very inconvenient and just made the fair look trashy.  Also most of the fair grounds had an awful smell to it.

The best part about the fair was watching the Okie Karaoke Contest.  It is where 12 people every night compete to be one of the top three of the night to move on to the finals on Sunday for a chance to win different prizes.  I just love music in general and karaoke is so entertaining and it gives you a chance to see what kind of talent your people right here in Oklahoma have.  So overall I had a fantastic time at the 2015 State Fair!

Ending Summer With A Bang.

With fall quickly approaching, there are only a couple of weeks left to enjoy the summer and what better way than to spend it outside with your family playing slip and slide kickball. I got the pleasure of playing it this pass weekend with my family so here is what you will need in order to play.

  • Four inflatable kiddie pools
  • Four rolls of plastic sheeting or tarps at least 6 x 25 feet
  • Kickball
  • Tent pegs ( I recommend metal ones)
  • A big grass area
  • Hose
  • Water
  • Dish soap (optional)
For directions on how to setup the field and the rules to the game here is a great article:  http://www.joelmayward.com/2013/08/slip-n-slide-kickball.html

(To have a little more fun we made it to where you have to slide at every base.)

So now that you know what you need and how to play slip and slide kickball there is nothing stopping you from going outside and making some fun memories with your family and friends.

New Job.

Southwind Hills, Goldsby OK

This passed weekend I started my new job as a videographer for Leslee Leaming Films. I have a little experience in this area but I learned so much during the wedding by shadowing Leslee and Haley ( the wonderful people I get the pleasure of working with).  I had so much fun capturing this beautiful wedding and we got to have a little fun in the photo booth ourselves.  I'm looking forward to the next wedding I get to work on.
